UPCOMING EVENTS

APRIL ROUNDTABLE – THURSDAY,  APRIL 10th – LOCATION CHANGED !

For this month only, Roundtable will be held at the NORTH SHORE JEWISH CENTER, located at 385 Old Town Rd, Port Jefferson Station, across from Ward Melville High School.

Selden Middle School was not available to us this week.

No food is allowed in the Jewish Center, as they prepare for Passover but, water is okay.

The May Roundtable is scheduled for May 7th at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.

ROUNDTABLE LOCATION

Roundtable for the Benjamin Tallmadge District is, usually, the 2nd Thursday of the month starting at 7:30 p.m., although, we have some special WEDNESDAY nights on the schedule this year. 

The next Roundtable is Thursday, April 10th at the North Shore Jewish Center.

Who is Benjamin Tallmadge?

Major Benjamin Tallmadge was born February 25, 1754 at the Presbyterian parsonage in Setauket, Long Island. He was the son of Rev. Benjamin Tallmadge and Susannah Smith. He spent his boyhood days in Setauket and later attended Yale where he graduated in 1773. Tallmadge was employed as a teacher in Weathersfield, Connecticut until shortly after the battles of Lexington and Bunker Hill when he entered the army.
